Installing Cisco Call Manager 7.0
Before proceeding to the installation steps, make sure that you have all the minimum requirements for installing:
Software: Cisco Unified Communications Manager 7.0 DVD
Hardware: Minimum 100 GB of HDD and minimum 2 GB of RAM with x86 CPU.
Step-by-step guidelines to install Cisco Call Manager 7.0:
1) Insert the DVD in the drive and boot the system with that DVD. First, it will ask for Media Check which you can skip or you can check.

2) Then, the Configuration Wizard will appear. Just, click on Proceed.

3) If you have the static IP address, then it will ask for IP Address, IP Mask, Gateway Address.

NOTE: If you have enabled DHCP, then simply select the DHCP option and proceed.
4) Click on OK.
a) If it asks for the Certificate Information like Organization, Unit, Location, etc. Enter the particulars.

Information: Certificate Information is for creating Security Context for this node. For trusted relationship with other nodes, send this CSR to Trusted CA authority like Verisign and Geotrust, to get certificate authenticated.
b) If it asks you to enter the Administrator Login Credentials, then just enter it. This login is to login through the Command Line Interface (CLI).
7) Then, the Installation Wizard will ask you whether this is the first node in the cluster. If NO, then this node is “Subscriber” and hence it will ask for the Publishers IP address.
a) Then, set the Network Time Protocol Server for synchronizing the time properly.
b) Database security credentials for secure communication between cluster nodes.
c) Application username and password. This username and password is for login to the Cisco Call Manager Administration through Portal.

8 ) Once click on OK, “Application Installation” window will appear and installation will begin. If the installation completes without any errors, then it will prompt you to login to the CLI.

9) After completing installation, the system will be rebooted automatically.
After this, you need to do the Post-Installation task to complete the basic system configuration.
