Initial Configuration after installing Cisco Call Manager 7.0
Setting Cisco Call Manager Group
To setup the Cisco Call Manager Group, follow the below steps:
1) Click on “System” menu and then “Cisco Unified Call Manager Group”.
2) Type the name for the “Cisco Unified Communications Manager Group Settings”.
3) Then, select the “Cisco Call Manager node” which you have installed before from the “Available Cisco Unified Communications Managers” to “Selected Cisco Unified Communications Managers”.

4) Then, click on Save button and then click on Reset.
Setup “Date and Time Configuration” and Setup “Phone NTP Reference”
1) Click on “System” menu and then click on “Phone NTP Reference”.
2) Click on “Add New”.
3) Enter the “IP Address” of the NTP server and then select “Direct Broadcast” for Mode.

4) Then, click on the Save button.
5) To configure Date and Time, click on “System” menu and then click on “Date/Time Group”.
6) Now, type the “Group Name”, and select the details like Time Zone, Separator, Date Format and Time Format.

7) Then, click on “Add Phone NTP References” button and select the newly added NTP Reference and add it.
8 ) Then, click on the Save button and then click on Reset button.
Creating Device Pool and Region
1) To create a Region, click on “System” menu and then click on “Region”.
2) Then, select default region and replace the name with the desired name. Then click on Save and then Reset button.

To setup the Device Pool, follow the below steps:
1) Click on “System” menu and then click on “Device Pool”.
2) Then, select Default and rename to the desired name as per the naming convention.
3) Now, select the Region from its drop-down box which you have configured in the above step.

4) Click on Save and then Reset.
Service Activation
You have to activate the services which are available in the Cisco Call Manager.
1) Go to the Cisco Unified Serviceability and login with your credentials.
2) Then, select Services which you want to activate, i.e. Select All, and then click on Save.
