Installing Cisco IP Communicator
“Cisco IP Communicator” supports “Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)” only with the Cisco Unified Call Manager 5 and 6 versions.
Steps to install Cisco IP Communicator:
1) Double click on the “CiscoIPCommunicatorSetup.exe” file.
2) In the Welcome page, click on Next.

3) Then, follow the on-screen instructions.
4) When you get the InstallShield Wizard Completed page, select “Launch the program” check box and then click on Finish.

5) As soon as you click on Finish, you will the “Audio Tuning Wizard” window. Just click on Next.

6) In the “Select Audio Devices” window, select the suitable devices from the drop-down boxes and click on Next.

7) Then, adjust the volume for listening and click on Next.

8 ) Then, modify the “Microphone Volume” and click on Next.

9) Then, click on Finish in the “You have completed the Audio Tuning Wizard” window.

10) If the TFTP setup is incorrect, then you will get the error message dialog box as “Unable to reach TFTP server”. Just, click on OK and you will get the Preferences window as given in the below figure:

11) Then, select the correct Network Adapter from its drop-down box under Network tab.
12) Select “Use these TFTP servers” option under “TFTP Servers” section and then enter the IP address of the Cisco Call Manager.
13) Then, enter the Username and Password in the given box under User tab and click on OK.

Then, wait for some time and “Cisco IP Communicator Launch” will appear.
